In this role you will lead safety strategy across a significant infrastructure project. Based in Lower Hutt and reporting to the Alliance Project Director, you’ll be part of the leadership team, driving operational excellence and ensuring our people go home safe every day.

  • Provide assurance that contractors meet Alliance and legislative H&S requirements
  • Champion visible safety leadership and embed a proactive safety culture
  • Lead the development and delivery of Health & Safety (H&S) strategies
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align on H&S objectives and outcomes
  • Oversee H&S systems, audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead a high-performing H&S team with clear goals and development pathways

re you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and innovative Health & Safety Manager to join our team for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).

  • Experience with incident investigations, audits, and high-level reporting
  • Experience in development and implementation of H&S Management systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related field
  • At least 5–10 years’ leadership experience in large-scale civil infrastructure or alliance projects
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver measurable safety outcomes
