The role provides proactive case management of workers compensation and income protection claims to ensure best practice injury management and return to work processes are applied, by collaborating with relevant stakeholders and supporting injured employees to remain at work safely and sustainably or to return to work as soon as appropriate.
- Promote, deliver and monitor early intervention treatment programs in conjunction with external stakeholders.
- In collaboration with Payroll Services and the WorkSafe agent, accurately calculate and process weekly payments, including current weekly earnings in alignment with the relevant legislation and enterprise agreements.
- In conjunction with managers and employees, ensure return to work obligations are fulfilled in accordance with Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
- Manage all aspects of workers compensation and income protection claims from initial lodgement through to case closure, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
- Work collaboratively with the WorkSafe agent and insurers regarding timely provision of claim forms, medical certificates, accounts, reimbursements and reconciliation.
- Support the implementation and delivery of the Health Safety and Sustainability strategy, contributing to the improvement of how injuries and conditions are managed across the organisation.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers, employees and stakeholders on claims management and return to work processes.

- Experience in injury management and acting as a return to work coordinator.
- Relevant work experience in an occupational rehabilitation, claims management and/or return to work role.
- Strong understanding of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013, with practical experience applying its principles in injury management and workers' compensation.
- Experience and understanding with injury management systems such as SOLV.
- Current Victorian drivers’ licence.
