The Role

Overview

Create structural load paths and perform FEM analyses for aerospace designs.

Tasks

-Create, manage, and run Global Finite Element Models (GFEM) for stress team use. -Execute trade studies to assess various design solutions. -Develop Detail Finite Element Models (DFEM) to validate design principles. -Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, working closely with design, fabrication, assembly, and other key functions. -Develop structural load paths for conceptual designs using first principles.

What You Bring

-Experience with conceptual design first principles analysis for primary composite structures. -Experience with finite element analysis (FEM) and Femap. -Experience in aero structures, product development, and new design. -Experience with commercial OEM (Boeing or Airbus) or similar clients. -Proficient in Boeing design processes and ENOVIA. -Knowledge of composite structures failure modes and unique analysis methodologies. -Experience with metallic and composite structures. -Recent experience with Boeing or commercial structures within the last 10 years. -Bachelor's degree in engineering is strongly preferred. -Proficiency in Catia, stress analysis, and structural analysis. -10+ years of experience preferred, but candidates with 5-7 years will be considered.
