Tasks

-Oversee and produce project proposals for estimating and securing new work -Support business development efforts to strengthen relationships with existing clients and pursue new opportunities -Conduct field surveys (in and out of state), assess structure strengths, verify NESC and client electrical clearances, prepare construction packages, and support construction and record documentation -Develop overhead distribution line designs with strong attention to accuracy and safety -Review and update design standards, processes, and procedures for continued improvement -Expand the team by hiring and developing new engineering talent -Perform and oversee complete Distribution line project designs—this is a hands-on design role with management responsibilities -Lead and mentor our Distribution Line Design team, providing technical guidance and support for professional growth

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of Excel and standard design tools -Travel up to 15% for surveys and site visits -5+ years of experience designing overhead and underground power lines; strong PLS-CADD experience preferred -Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across multiple states -Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred -Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (required) -Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills -Proven expertise in distribution design and a full understanding of the project life cycle -Ability to independently lead engineering meetings and interface with clients
