Lead water/wastewater treatment design, business development, and project delivery in Northern CA

Tasks
-Partner with regional and national experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions and pursue new opportunities. -Mentor junior staff and foster professional growth, with a focus on treatment design. -Perform project management duties including scope, schedule, and budget development; team coordination; regulatory engagement; invoicing; and consultant management. -Oversee project elements such as reports, hydraulic modeling, calculations, drawings, specifications, permitting, and construction-phase services. -Develop and refine tools, processes, and standards to improve design consistency and delivery. -Ensure innovative, sound, and efficient design solutions are implemented. -Lead proposal development with senior technical and marketing staff. -Manage and deliver complex water, wastewater, and reuse projects, including treatment facilities and storage systems. -Act as Client Services Manager for select clients. -Drive business development efforts and cultivate relationships with municipal clients.

What You Bring
-20+ years of progressive water/wastewater engineering experience including the planning, design, and construction of municipal water/wastewater and reuse projects. -Strong technical background in municipal water/wastewater treatment design. -Experience in preparation of engineering proposals for submission to clients, and in business development. -A proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully delivering water and wastewater projects, resulting in securing additional projects from clients. -Demonstrated project management fundamentals and a proven track record of providing technical leadership to successfully deliver water and wastewater projects. -Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California. -Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or related field, and 10+ years of progressive water/wastewater engineering experience including the planning, design, and construction of municipal water/wastewater and reuse projects, including 2 years of leadership or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education -Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience groups including clients, the public, regulatory staff, subconsultants, and internal technical staff. -Demonstrated success in client engagement and business development. -Experience supervising other engineering professionals, and strong staff development, mentoring and management skills. -Position requires business travel (20 to 40%) -Valid U.S. Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
