Tasks

The Regional Director will be responsible for ensuring operational and technical excellence, driving business growth, and strengthening client relationships. With a proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects, the ideal candidate will bring both strategic insight and hands-on leadership to grow SJ’s Infrastructure function in the Middle East. -Lead, inspire, and manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations, ensuring high performance and cohesion. -Drive business performance through people, project delivery, and client relationship management. -Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Energy AMEP Region. -Oversee preparation of high-quality tender and proposal documents. -Actively participate in industry forums and represent SJ in professional networks. -Build and maintain trusted, productive client relationships that enhance SJ’s market presence. -Lead the delivery of large-scale multi-disciplinary projects to budget, schedule, and client specifications.

What You Bring

We are seeking an accomplished Regional Director – Energy (Middle East) to provide strategic leadership and operational direction for our Energy business in the AMEP Region. This role will collaborate closely with discipline leaders and align with the wider SJ Group’s business objectives. -Minimum 15 years’ industry experience, with demonstrated authority in the Energy sub-sector. -Experience in the Middle East market preferred. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, or a related discipline. -Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects successfully. -In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and legislation. -Strong understanding of external market dynamics with the ability to translate insights into strategies and actions. -High-level communication and negotiation skills; adept at resolving complex commercial, technical, and people matters. -Strong background in client management and business development. -Strong analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking, coupled with commercial and business awareness.
