Tasks

-Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures. Performs work with a high degree of latitude. -Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. -Supervises the work of a team of engineers that are responsible for systems infrastructure. -Develops program specifications, identifies required inputs, and is responsible for testing of systems. -Monitors system performance troubleshoots failed or underperforming components, and takes corrective action as needed. -Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. -Leads and directs the work of other employees. -Handles complex issues. -Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. -Coordinates the flow of work through the department. -Ensures data integration and communication between interrelated systems. -Responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. -Implements modifications to improve functionality, ensuring satisfactory results. -Will be responsible for systems architecture, design, and development of new training equipment and their associated training systems. -Typically has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions. -Supervises the design, implementation, installation, maintenance, and administration of the organization's systems infrastructure, including hardware and software.
