Design custom power distribution products, create 3D models, and support manufacturing processes.
-Customer focus: Prepare customer submittal drawing packages per customer requirements and support corresponding customer reviews and factory acceptance testing. Develop technical documents for product manuals including operation and installation procedures. -Strive for Excellence: Set ambitious goals, measure performance, and constantly seek ways to improve processes, products, and services. -Drive Efficiency: Support continuous improvement mindset by leveraging digital modeling, tools and processes to enhance engineering efficiency and effectiveness. Be a change agent - implement product and process improvements, and guide team members to increase team efficiency. -Support Manufacturing: Prepare assembly exploded views, photos, videos, and written instructions for manufacturing work instructions, and system and system integration test protocols for production test, with an overall focus on safety, quality and manufacturing efficiency. Support technical training for manufacturing personnel. -Technical support: Provide technical support through effective collaboration with Marketing, Scheduling, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations to ensure custom designs are delivered per customer requirements and expectations. -Generate Designs: Create new custom product designs including complex 3D models (Solidworks), manufacturing drawings (fabrication, weldments, assemblies, schematics) per ANSI standards, and structured bills of materials (SAP ERP system) while considering design for manufacturability, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
-Excellent computer and data analysis skills. Proficient using Microsoft Office software and 3D CAD modeling. -Product design, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing knowledge. -Minimum of 3 years experience working with CAD Software, such as SolidWorks, Pro E, Inventor -Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution -Bachelor or Master of Science in Power or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. -Experience with complex mechanical systems including sheet metal and weldment design. -Design and/or application experience with power distribution equipment. -Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Problem solving experience using Root Cause Analysis techniques. -Minimum of 3 years engineering experience
