Overview

Lead cost control for maintenance/turnaround projects using SAP, EcoSys, and Power BI.

Tasks

-Produce cost performance reports, variance analyses, and forecasts -Support cost risk assessments and contingency planning -Ensure accuracy and consistency in project cost data aligned with corporate standards -Streamline data flow between SAP, EcoSys, and Power BI -Monitor actuals versus budgets and identify cost trends or variances -Oversee detailed budgets, forecasts, and cost breakdown structures (CBS) -Partner with planners, schedulers, procurement, finance, and engineering teams -Present cost performance updates to leadership with clear variance explanations -Manage change control processes for scope and work order changes -Develop and automate Power BI dashboards to visualize KPIs and trends -Integrate SAP cost data into EcoSys for centralized control -Drive continuous improvement in cost control processes and reporting tools -Serve as the primary cost control contact within the maintenance organization -Provide insights for cost optimization and financial control -Track KPIs for cost efficiency and productivity -Lead and mentor a team of cost engineers supporting maintenance and small capital projects -Ensure compliance with corporate cost governance and reporting standards -Develop and maintain cost control systems and processes

We are seeking a seasoned Project Controls Cost Engineer to lead cost control efforts across maintenance and turnaround programs within our Oil & Gas assets. This role is responsible for accurate forecasting, performance tracking, and strategic cost management across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP, EcoSys, and Power BI, along with strong leadership capabilities.
