Tasks

-Performs billing duties including preparation of billings -Recommend payment arrangements for unpaid customer balances -Post billing data to profit/loss reports, balance sheets, income statements, and other documentation -Maintain appropriate files and documents -Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of billing invoices -Gather appropriate information for billing purposes, as necessary -Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems -Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, account statements and other financial statements -Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying -Serve as a primary customer contact for billings -Prepare period or cost statements or reports -Compile budget data and documents based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets -Produce reports, letters, and other correspondence, as needed

What You Bring

-Experience with Microsoft Office applications -Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests. -All offers are conditioned on acceptable results from a background check and drug and alcohol screening. -Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check. -Thorough understanding of general accounting practices. -Post-secondary education in Accounting/Business Administration considered an asset. -Several years of experience in a billing/accounts payable/receivable role in service or manufacturing industries would be preferred but not required. -Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. -Working knowledge of accounting ERP systems. Business Central or Navision experience considered an asset. -Ability to clearly see and view the details of words, tables and images on a computer screen for long periods of time. -General working knowledge of provincial and federal sales taxes (RST/PST/GST). -Willing to travel as needed. -Ability to use hands and fingers on a keyboard and use a mouse.
