The Role

Overview

Manage site crews, plan and execute works, ensure safety, quality, and client KPIs.

Tasks

-To manage and assess the competencies of all operatives on site through the competency assessment programme. -Ensure all timesheets are submitted within the timescales set by payroll. And these are checked and correct at the time of submission. Where necessary telematics checks are carried out to verify timesheet submission. -Conduct detailed and thorough site visits. -Managing subcontract performance. -Management of the operatives reporting into them. -Comply with relevant company HSEQ and welfare policy provisions. -Maintain own levels of skills and knowledge to do the job effectively. -Regularly undertake all necessary and appropriate Toolbox Talks, Briefings, and other communications. -Ensuring all operatives driving company vehicles adhere to company policy, where necessary interventions to be carried out to coach or take disciplinary action against offenders that is relevant to the offence committed. -To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessments and coaching to ensure gangs are performing to our sufficient company standards. -To perform weekly fleet and plant checks ensuring fleet, plant and equipment maintenance is carried out and calibrated within the correct timescales. -Ensuring all operatives have appropriate vehicles, equipment, stores, and skills to perform allocated work. -Lead and motivate a team to deliver all aspects of planning and operations. -Maintain accurate records of site resources, materials and plant and providing daily resource sheets.

-Management Skills - the ability to supervise and lead crews -Operational Understanding - comprehensive experience, understanding and qualifications/accreditations in accordance with the role being undertaken to deliver contractual commitments, operational and safety requirements. -Health, Safety & Environment - The ability to assess the impact our operations have on Health & Safety matters. Thorough knowledge of H & S policies/procedures and safe systems of work. -Systems - competent in the use of Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook.
