Senior Accountant, Tax - Manufacturing

Overview

Prepare tax returns and provide client communication for manufacturing and retail clients.

Tasks

-Actively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members -Communicate with engagement leaders regarding open items or other important matters in a timely manner -Research tax issues -Provide technical assistance to clients -Actively participate in firm sponsored events for assigned product line clients and prospects -Perform a limited number of tax return interviews as needed -Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner -Participate in core CPE programs -Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders -Adhere to prescribed budgets and deadlines -Develop technical competency -Prepare client correspondence, letters, e-mail, or other communications pertaining to engagement planning and requests

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Caseware, depreciation processing software, Tax preparation software (Axcess), Tax research software (RIA), and Go File Room is strongly desired -Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required -3+ years of job-related experience -CPA certification preferred. Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will be considered. -Prior accounting experience in a public accounting firm required -Recognize potential issues and/or opportunities in engagements and discuss with engagement leader -Manufacturing and retail distribution experience required
