Tasks

-Communicating: Keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring projects stay on track -Planning: Overseeing the planning stages of a project, including defining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements -Facilitate communication between teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. -Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. -Risk management: Identifying and mitigating risks that could delay deliverables, increase costs, or cause scope creep -Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. -Development of action plans to correct any project deviations in collaboration with the project manager. -Managing: Support the Project Manager in Managing budgets, resources, stakeholders, and risks -Proactive monitoring of project progress and development of reports/updates. -Creating reports: Producing reports for project managers -Monitoring: Keeping track of project progress and updating schedules as needed -Scheduling: Creating project schedules using project management software (Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project) and identifying critical paths. -Develop and maintain detailed project plans using Primavera and MS Project, including schedules, resource allocation, and budget management. -Assist in the identification and procurement of necessary resources for project execution. -Regular updating of key stakeholders. -Monitor project progress, development of S-Curves, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. -Identify potential project efficiencies relating to cost, schedule or resource management. -Maintain consistent and clear communication with the project manager. -Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices. -Timely return of project schedule/programme requirements

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to join our dynamic team in the North East of England. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning, particularly within the Infrastructure sector and be proficient in Primavera software. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines. -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. -Must be capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information. -Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. -Time management essential to satisfy demands of busy schedule. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. -Relevant degree or certification in Project Planning / Management or related field is preferred. -Excellent report writing skills. -Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word -Effective communication and interpersonal skills. -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
