Lead US commercial analytics, build data infrastructure, and drive modeling for energy assets.

Tasks

-Collaborate across front-, middle-, and back-office teams to embed analytics into key commercial workflows -Hire, develop, and manage a high-performing team of Senior and Junior Quants -Support structuring of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), fuel procurement strategies, and market bidding decisions -Deliver insight-driven recommendations to support trading, origination, and risk mitigation -Define and evolve the analytics vision and roadmap in alignment with business growth and strategic priorities -Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the commercial organization -Lead development of advanced models for forecasting, pricing, risk management, and asset optimization -This role may require occasional international travel to support global teams and attend industry events. -Develop dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility into portfolio and asset performance -Ensure all models are governed, validated, and integrated into energy trading and risk systems (ETRM) -Develop automated pipelines and storage solutions to support large-scale, real-time energy data -Establish scalable analytics processes, tools, and governance frameworks to support real-time and long-term commercial decision-making -Build and maintain a robust data architecture that integrates market, asset, trading, and financial data

What You Bring

-Expertise in Python, SQL, data pipeline tools, cloud platforms, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) -Business Intelligence: Experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau -10+ years of experience in commercial analytics, quantitative modeling, or data architecture within the energy, utilities, or commodity trading sectors -Data Architecture & Engineering: Expertise in scalable data infrastructure, including pipelines, SQL/NoSQL storage, cloud platforms, and governance frameworks -ETRM Systems: Familiarity with energy trading and risk management platforms and their integration with commercial operations -Deep familiarity with U.S. power markets (e.g., ERCOT, PJM) and renewable technologies -Proven leadership in building and scaling technical or analytics teams -Experience with ETRM systems and integration across trading and operational data environments -Programming & Modeling: Advanced skills in Python (preferred), R, or MATLAB for statistical modeling and algorithm development -Quantitative Techniques: Strong background in time-series forecasting, optimization, and machine learning -Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s in a quantitative or technical field preferred -Analytical Tools: Strong Excel skills for scenario modeling and ad hoc analysis
