Tasks

-Provide leadership to ensure all company safety rules and regulations in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety Act are observed by employees. This includes planning the necessary resources in manpower and budgeting to accomplish site safety goals -Follow up investigations working with Safety Committee, and others as needed or applicable -Actively participate in the weekly scheduling meeting between maintenance and production -Preparation and implementation of training plans to provide employees with the necessary training to perform their job safely and effectively -Ensures correct, accurate, and timely reporting of information on all maintenance Work Orders, including “Urgent Repairs” -Routinely monitor key performance indicators identifying opportunities for improvement and making appropriate supervisory and management personnel aware of the findings -Ensure the execution of the daily maintenance plan -Provide feedback to the maintenance team on goals and expectations status -Responsible for discretionary spending budget -Lead the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs -Ensure the Management System is effective and well understood by all employees -Interface with MSHA/MOL and other governing health and safety agencies at local and federal level as required -Oversee necessary arrangements to keep plant running during breakdowns -Participate in the daily morning production meeting

What You Bring

-Related Engineering Bachelor Degree is preferred -Demonstrated competency in preventative and predictive maintenance, and computerized maintenance management systems -Demonstrable team work and maturity with a strong work ethic -A good understanding of the maintenance modules under the CMMS system (SAP 5.0) -Fluency in spoken and written English -Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills -Minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory experience in construction, manufacturing and/or industrial settings related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc
