Tasks
-Working around energized equipment -Perform accurate material takeoffs of electrical system -Compile relevant bid documents, quotes, schedules, budget and related items. -Provide detailed cost estimates that covers defined scope -Establish the clients expectations in order to fully define scope expectations -Provide support to relay scope definition and associated back up of how scope was covered to the PM team -Schedule and attend estimate review with preconstruction director and project executive of the region supporting the bid -May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch. -Work in conjunction with our internal Low Voltage and Fire Alarm estimators -Review all bid documents in order in order to define scope and identify potential risks and have strong grasp of requirements along with ability to research and mitigate new risks -Establish and maintain contact with client to ensure a smooth contract awarding process -Review and understand inclusions and exclusions of quotes obtained from outside vendors and select compliant bids, and send required revisions back to non-compliant quoting vendors. -Enter all project information into recap sheet for review and approval by supervisor -Obtain quotes on items such as lighting, power distribution, generators, etc. -Follow up with client as required to determine open items such as alternates, status of pending contract and release -Complete the necessary steps upon award of a project to turnover scope, proposal and budget to the project management team -Enter material takeoffs into Accubid -Plan and coordinate all aspects of the estimating process, including working with vendors, subcontractors, subconsultants and clients -Follow up with clients after bids have been submitted to obtain key information on how Rex Moore finished

What You Bring
-Ability to read and interpret plans and specs (electrical and other trades as they pertain to electrical scope) -Ability to meet deadlines with accurate takeoffs and proposals across complex and/or multiple concurrent estimates -Ability to interface comfortably with key personnel from the General Contractors team -Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reach. -This role requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow -Willing to work in a potentially fast-paced environment -Required to sit at a desk work station for long periods of time. -Ability to work independently -Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read contract documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor, and proof-read documents to identify errors. -Thorough knowledge of Bluebeam, Accubid, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Dynamics -Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information. -Estimator II typically work in an office environment, although they may occasionally visit worksites to observe a project or to meet with clients. When on worksites, Estimator II is to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, work boots and high viz vest/ shirt -Push, pull, lift, and carry at least 10 pounds. -Ability to effectively communicate your takeoff approach to other team members and external people -Frequently required to walk and stand. This position may involve infrequent site visits which will require the ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. -Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information. -Detail orientated -Willingness to mentor junior team members -Fully understand Rex Moore’s pre-award processes as well as the services provided to the client -Advanced knowledge and understanding of electrical systems and applications in the commercial and industrial environment -Ability to work within a team setting -Ability to start, build and maintain relationships with clients and 3rd parties such as architects and engineers.
