Overview
Design and cost pressure vessel systems for sustainable water treatment projects.

Tasks
-Work with the sales team and supervisors to manage bid submission information. Estimate project schedules. Respond to customer questions. -Collaborate with suppliers and procurement to obtain component and equipment costs. -Verify designs from the process design group (or Develop process designs that) meets client project requirements. -Perform cost estimate and proposal reviews for junior level applications engineers and peers. -Work with the sales and operations teams to develop commercial strategies for competitive projects and document strategy sessions. -Comply with Quality Management Systems in accordance with Newterra’s internal quality standards. -Contribute to the developing new or existing tools, products, and processes as part of continuous improvement initiatives. -Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and promoting safety in accordance with Newterra’s safety policies and procedures. -Prepare proposals including technical equipment details, influent parameters, discharge criteria, clarifications, customer technical questionnaires, and appendices. -Review customer specifications, resolve issues, clarify requirements, and budget for non-standard requirements. -Lead proposal efforts during the sales process. -Complete all responsibilities while ensuring adherence to Newterra’s Delegation of Authority.

What You Bring
-Experience in application areas: PFAS treatment, GAC, Sand filtration, Ion Exchange. -Able to create firm priced proposals and cost estimate with minimal support and oversight. -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. -Ability to work independently and work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal. -Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail. -More than +5 years’ experience in designing and budgeting pressure vessel systems. -Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to learn new computer applications quickly.
