Tasks
-Supervise mechanical crafts within a specific department, acting as a resource for maintenance guidance to craft and other manufacturing personnel -This position will supervise Electrician and Mechanic union employees on 12-hour shifts and will rotate between day and night shifts on a specific schedule determined by the department. -Decide and deploy appropriate crewing arrangements for planned and unplanned situations based on absences, schedule requirements, equipment availability, and vacations within labor agreement guidelines -Lead individual safety discussions and job-specific safety reviews -Work with craftspeople to apply root cause analysis and rapid problem-solving techniques to maintain or restore production -Support operating results through the management of your crew with emphasis on quantity, quality, timeliness, safety, recovery, and delivery performance -Seek cooperation from, persuade or influence others, and must develop relationships and persuade others to resolve problems. Occasionally, the position deals with sensitive interpersonal situations and must motivate or negotiate with others to obtain desired results -Maintain a safe work environment and a workplace that causes no harm to people or the environment -Ensure work is allocated fairly and clearly assigned to crew members; formulate and assign tasks within guidelines established by Department management prioritizing work based on knowledge of business criticality -Execute planned and unplanned work to meet department goals

What You Bring
-Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience -High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution -Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. -Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment -Knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and practices related to HR/IR including the bargaining and local agreements is a plus. -A working knowledge of principles and concepts of Lean Manufacturing (ABS) -730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements. -Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports
