The Role

Overview

Assist PM overseeing tank construction/maintenance crews, safety, QA/QC, scheduling in PNW.

Tasks

-Always represents the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” -Performs system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications. -Advise project management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties. Leverage their experience and understanding of all-around tank maintenance and construction to assist in resolving such problems, as required. -Supervise craft workers assigned to area of responsibility, provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications. -Work with Apprenticeship Program to encourage development of skilled and trained Tank workforce in the PNW. -Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities and equipment requirements. -Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures and safety requirements are maintained. -Reviews NDE reports at jobs to ensure that all code and customer requirements have been met. -Develop strong long-term relationships both internal and externally. -Regularly communicates with Customer representatives and relays communications back to other Matrix personnel departments, such as Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Quality and Safety. -Ensure all company, department and technical policies, procedures, and standards, are adhered to. Interpret policies, as required.

What You Bring

-Must have Verification of 8,000 craft related hours OR Graduated journeyperson status preferred -Minimum of seven (7) years in Above Ground Storage Tank construction including maintenance, construction and demo with three or more years as a foreman -Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook or willingness to learn -Must obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing program -Must be able to complete the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client/Site specific training -Knowledge of refinery maintenance work and strong understanding for and proven commitment to safety and QA/QC policies and procedures -Must have a TWIC card -Must have a HHFT Safety card -Knowledge of API standards (653) preferred with previous welding experience required
