Lead reliability projects, analyze failure data, drive improvements, coordinate teams.

Tasks
-Utilize internal and external tools to analyze warranty financial data, failure analysis results, product failure and shopping data to identify failure trends; -Support the Field Service teams with the development of implementation plans for solutions developed through CPI; -Collaborate with customer representatives to ensure the Voice of the Customer is understood and incorporated throughout the CPI project; -Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive reliability-focused CPI projects from the development of a detailed problem statement through corrective action implementation; -Identify, analyze, and drive the resolution to reliability-focused projects involving Progress Rail’s products; -Regularly communicate the status of CPI projects and associated problem resolution to internal and external customers.

What You Bring
-Project management training, up to and including PMP certification; -Knowledge of locomotive shop practices -Ability to read engineering drawings and sketches; -Willing to travel on extended basis as needed (domestic and international); -A demonstrated passion for problem solving and continuous improvement; -Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing; -Knowledge of and ability to complete statistical analyses such as Weibull analysis -Proficient with Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel; -Strength – Position typically involves office managerial work as well as oversight of field industrial activities. Occasional sitting. Constant standing, and walking. Frequent medium-to-heavy level lifting (more than 30 pounds); -Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and track multiple ongoing projects; -Emotional Demands – Very high level of responsibility and physical workload. Requires interpersonal skills while working with a group to meet customer service demands; -Understanding of problem solving principles, such as Six Sigma or Shainin; -Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design; -Strong verbal and written communication skills required in dealing with internal and external customers; -Motion – Position regularly requires standard motions associated with an industrial environment focused on locomotive repair, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting; -Ability to work independently and with others; -Ability and/or experience resolving complex electrical and/or mechanical problems; -Knowledge of fundamental data analytics and visualization; -Bachelor degree with a major in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent training/experience. -Basic locomotive and/or heavy equipment knowledge. -Understanding of design / manufacturing process; -Experience with EMD locomotives; -High-level of interpersonal skills required to work effectively with customers and others; -Shainin Apprentice certification or higher; -Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher;
