Tasks

-Leading other junior technicians on long-term projects. -Prepare daily field observation reports and materials testing data sheets. -Performing accurate computations, and -Help in laboratory testing of materials. -Completing work in a timely manner, -Training technicians and helping grow the Houston Office. -Maintaining cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.

What You Bring

This position may require travel from time to time. We're looking for individuals with strong initiative, who will perform construction observation and materials testing on various projects to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. -Structural Steel and Bolting -5 years minimum of construction materials testing or inspection experience. -Valid driver's license with good driving record. -Authorization to work in the United States -Certification training and professional development assistance (ICC, ACI, AWS, NCDOT, etc.); -Prestressed Concrete -Radiation Safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge. -Soils certification in one of the following: ACI aggregate soils, Nicet Soils, or ICC Soils Certs -Spray Applied Fireproofing -ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 -Reinforced Concrete -High school diploma or equivalent. -Structural Masonry -ICC Special Inspector CertificationsReinforced ConcretePrestressed ConcreteStructural MasonrySpray Applied FireproofingStructural Steel and BoltingStructural Welding -Nicet Soils or Concrete Certifications -Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
