When it comes to quality, we don't joke around. Each and every project goes through a thorough QA/QC process. You will not simply be drawing lines and doing math, but will be expected to be self-motivated to deliver your best so as not to disappoint our clients-or your team members
Demonstrated ability to self-manage and produce results
Ideal coursework includes hydrology, fluid mechanics, soil mechanics, foundational design and surveying
Ability to maintain and develop relationships with both existing and potential clients and recognize their needs, respond to and build on responsibilities accordingly
Must be effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change
The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good oral and written communication skills in order to work effectively
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D or Microstation Inroads
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
Previous internship or drafting work experience related to civil and/or civil engineering
A major component of our design process relies on terrain modeling software. In particular, the use of AutoCAD Civil3D is one of the integrated collaboration tools used in communicating 3-D design to our project teams, owners and construction professionals
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
EIT license required
Candidate should have 0-2 years of experience and be able to perform work requiring independent judgement, adaptation/modification of engineering principles, procedures, and code requirements
Must be adaptable, able to problem solve, and able to learn and apply new technologies with support
BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
