The Role
Overview

Tasks
It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including weekends and sometimes more than contracted hours. As part of your job, you will be expected to attend training events and/or meetings and travel to other locations may be required. Local requirements will govern your patterns and locations of work. Oversee cleaning operations, manage staff, maintain health and safety standards, and control budgets and inventory to ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in a facility. Key responsibilities include creating cleaning schedules, training and motivating staff, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and liaising with clients and other departments. -Conduct audits and inspections to uphold cleaning standards and identify areas for improvement. -Cooperate with safe working practices (manual handling/safe use of chemicals etc) -Cascade relevant HSEQ information to your direct reports and front-line employees. -Develop and implement cleaning procedures and schedules, monitor the cleanliness of facilities, and ensure equipment is maintained. -Manage cleaning supplies, equipment, and budgets, focusing on cost-effectiveness and inventory control. -Partake in ongoing training on site -Partake in basic induction training for new staff -Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed on site -Liaise with clients and other departments to understand needs, resolve issues, and ensure contractual obligations are met. -Support the business by delivering services that meet the needs and expectations of our customers in accordance with ISO Standards and Company values. -Complete tasks in accordance with company HSEQ procedures and work instructions -Recruit, train, and supervise cleaning staff, conduct performance appraisals, and manage attendance. -Use of Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment -Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, including conducting risk assessments and handling incidents. -Manage non-conformances and complaints and record centrally. -Support the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of our HSEQ Management Systems at site level.

What You Bring
-Good problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships with clients and staff -In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures, protocols, and health and safety regulations. -Read, understand and work in accordance with the company’s HSEQ Policies. -Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and handle operational efficiency. -Skills in managing budgets, controlling expenses, and managing stock. -Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
