Overview

Maintain and troubleshoot battery chargers and inverter systems for reliable power backup.

Tasks

-Examine all electrical connections for signs of loosening, wear, or damage. -Inspect cooling fans for proper operation, checking for noise, vibration, or airflow issues. -Inspect battery terminals for corrosion, oxidation, and ensure secure connections. -Perform scheduled servicing in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. -Conduct visual inspections of wiring for exposed conductors or potential short circuits. -Prepare detailed maintenance checklists and log all parameters and site conditions before and after preventive maintenance. -Replace damaged or faulty components in line with manufacturer guidelines. -Adjust drive and system parameters as per manufacturer specifications. -Clean air intake filters to prevent dust accumulation and overheating. -Regularly inspect control panels for warning messages, error codes, or abnormal indicators. -Assess the battery environment for cleanliness, ventilation, and safety compliance. -Verify proper installation and periodically inspect panels and components for integrity. -Perform tightness checks on all electrical terminals and connections.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in using electrical testing tools (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, battery analyzer). -Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. -Good communication abilities. -Knowledge of DC systems, battery technologies (VRLA, Ni-Cd, Li-ion), and inverter operations. -Familiarity with MAIN OEM OF CHARGERS: STATRON,SCHAEFFER,BORRI,CHLORIDE,SAFT,DALE POWER SOLUTIONS,EMERSON,GUTOR,AGA ( Kraftelektronik ),FUCADA ,VERTIV -Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field. -Minimum 7–10 years of hands-on experience in battery charger and inverter maintenance. -Awareness of electrical safety standards (LOTO, PPE, arc flash protection). -Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. -Experience with installation, commissioning, and load testing of backup power systems. -Understanding of cooling systems, control circuits, and power electronics.
