The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair multifamily residential units, handling HVAC, plumbing, electrical work.

Tasks

-Completes monthly Preventative Maintenance procedures -Perform HVAC, small appliances, plumbing, electrical and other repairs in residential loft apartments and other areas on the property. -Part of a rotating schedule of being available for emergency calls and respond to those according to the company's policy on after-hour emergency calls. -Diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem and making proper repairs. -Compete work orders generated by residents for regular maintenance of residential apartment homes and other areas on the property to include building exteriors, building interiors and common areas. -Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a “punch” list of maintenance work needed, scheduling vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work.

What You Bring

-Experience: Minimum of 1 year of multifamily facilities/apartment maintenance (property management). -High school diploma required and professional knowledge of all trades/maintenance discipline. -Must have proper tools, meters, gauges and power tools required for all trades -Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. -Must have reliable transportation -EPA certification preferred. -Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and adequate car insurance -Experience with electrical, plumbing and HVAC. -Must always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor -Strong HVAC knowledge and experience preferred. -Possession of personal tools, required. -Able to push, pull and lift over 50lbs. -Swimming Pool Certification preferred -College degree and/or certifications are a plus. -At least 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or related field -Must be available for weekend, holiday and evening work as needed -Universal type EPA Certification preferred
