Tasks

-Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards. -To be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, manufacture, construct, commission, operate and maintain engineering products, processes, systems, and services. -Pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge, and awareness. Ensure that the appropriate technical competencies are gained and kept up to date. -Discuss and present the deliverable with the internal/external client and be able to suggest solutions where appropriate. -To work in accordance with professional codes of conduct and the LR Code of Ethics. -Undertake routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures -To provide technical and commercial management, e.g., project management, process management. -You will perform surveys on new construction projects, in-service vessels, and several Marine Equipment and Components at Manufacturers' works, in accordance with Lloyd's Register Rules and Regulations and other applicable national & International standards.

What You Bring

-You currently have or are eligible to obtain security clearance. -Is able to self-manage and prioritize tasks towards achieving goals -Membership of an appropriate professional institution or working towards or achieving chartered or incorporated engineering status. -A degree or equivalent from a recognised organisation within the relevant field of engineering or physical science, or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience. -To use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology. -Responds positively to learning opportunities and is comfortable stepping out of own comfort zone -Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work. -Communicates in a structured way and has ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language -Is effective at solving problems, trouble-shooting and making timely decisions
