Tasks
-Leads stretch and flex, daily huddle, and pre-task plans -Leads contractor meetings on a regular basis -Develops safety strategies and drives safety culture across all project personnel -Administers Time and Materials (T&M) tracking -Plans, coordinates, and manages jobsite logistics -Creates, manages, and updates the project schedule, creating and implementing contingency plans when necessary -Engages in the community, growing and fostering relationships in the local market -Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services -Conducts maintenance and planning of “workarounds,” shutdowns and tie-ins -Obtains or verifies that subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction purposes -Directs the day-to-day coordination of Gilbane’s trade contractors and their sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule -Trains direct report Field Engineers and Superintendents on project needs, construction knowledge, and business acumen -Assists in development, preplanning, and preconstruction/construction to write scopes of work and participate in buyout -Establishes credibility among owners, trade contractors, unions, and other project partners by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment -Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports -Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan regarding changes made in the field -Acts as primary safety representative in the field and enforces safety compliance with all trades -Develops the Quality in Construction (QIC) plan in partnership with the Operations Excellence team, oversees the plan and implements necessary changes -Communicates schedule status, updates, and changes to project team and trade contractors -Maintains daily reports and documentation using software tools -May be required to assist with tasks typically assigned to more junior positions -Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members -Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks -Maintains a thorough understanding of contract documents in order to proactively anticipate potential problems -Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards -Resolves jurisdictional disputes with support from the Sr General Superintendent or Construction Executive -Manages Next150/Site Services material and crew needs -Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the “Builder of Choice”

What You Bring
-Must have experience supervising a project team -STS-C Certification -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management -10-15 years of experience on $30-$100 million commercial/industrial construction project(s) or multiple projects in a lead superintendent role -Construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction -Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs -First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training -Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control -Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan -Ability to participate in sales process, interviews, and presentations -Strong technical and communication skills -Familiarity with Pull Planning Process -Must be able to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude -Or equivalent combination of education and experience -Ability to work in a team environment -Excellent organizational skills -Proficient in Microsoft Office and other industry standard construction software tools -OSHA 30-hour certified
