Tasks

GCL is looking to hire a Draftsman who will assist in the preparation of accurate technical drawings for civil, construction, residential, and landscaping projects. The Draftsman supports engineers, architects, and project teams by translating design concepts into drawings, maintaining documentation, and learning industry standards and best practices. -Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to update drawings and resolve minor discrepancies. -Ensure drawings comply with company standards and relevant codes under supervision. -Assist in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material take-offs. -Support site visits to collect measurements and verify dimensions as required. -Maintain proper drawing records, files, and revisions throughout the project lifecycle. -Provide drafting-related support to the technical team and collaborate with multidisciplinary departments. -Assist in translating design sketches and specifications into accurate construction drawings. -Prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software under the guidance of senior staff.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with Civil 3D, Revit, or other design software is advantageous. -Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings. -Ability to work collaboratively in a team while developing independence over time. -Working proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D is a plus). -Good communication and coordination skills with team members. -Ability to interpret design sketches and specifications under supervision. -Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. -Effective time management and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment. -Minimum Experience: 2-5 years of drafting experience in civil, construction, residential, or landscaping projects.
