Senior Network Administrator

Overview

Lead design, implementation, and upkeep of LAN/WAN networks while supervising staff.

Tasks

-Manage and support firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and other network hardware/software. -Conduct network testing and evaluation to identify and eliminate issues and improve efficiency. -Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN and other network systems. -Perform network performance tuning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. -Monitor network usage and performance using appropriate tools and generate reports for management. -Supervise and mentor junior network administrators and service desk personnel. -Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. -Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies. -Leads various Tier I and Tier II service desk duties. -Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.

What You Bring

-Experience working in federal or defense environments. -IAT Level II Certification -Industry standard technical and network certifications. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. -Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies. -Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage service desk operations. -Experienced with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals -Must have active TS/SCI -Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. -At least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area -Knowledge of DevSecOps, containerization, and automation tools -Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
