Tasks

Reporting to the Accounting Transactions Team Supervisor, this position works as part of the Internal Group Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and deadline submission of month-end, quarter-end and year-end results are met. This position supports leadership in the development and implementation of standardized Group accounting policies and processes. -Supports the Internal Group Accounting leadership in the development and implementation of standardized accounting policies and processes. -Assists with internal and external audit requests. -Collaborates with Account Transactions Team Supervisor and Internal Group Accounting Manager to ensure that deadlines are met. -Maintains general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy. -Supports and interacts with various functional groups within Finance and Operations. -Aids in process standardization and system implementation projects. -Performs recurring monthly tasks and journal entries to assist the Internal Group Accounting team in financial close. -Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis.

What You Bring

Up to 5% of travel is required in this position. -Demonstrated knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). -Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. -Analytical problem solver with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. -Prior experience in a finance/accounting function. -Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or a combination of related education and experience. -Current enrolment or completion of a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) considered an asset. -Strong MS Excel skills and ability to learn new systems. -Familiarity with Oracle considered an asset.
