Tasks

-Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and field/work site notebook. -Under general supervision, collect and compile chemical and environmental data from samples of air, soil, water, sludge, and other matrices for scientific analysis of chemical contamination. -Coordinate environmental laboratory services and field sampling events. -Validate environmental analytical data in accordance with USEPA, regional, and state-specific validation guidelines to ensure data quality objectives are met. -A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations. -Safetly perform work in the office and field; fieldwork may occur in all seasonal weather conditions, using equipment (with an ability to left and move approximately 50 pounds without assistance) and operating vehicles on behalf of the company. -Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise measurements. -Work with laboratories to ensure data meets client requirements and project data quality objectives. -Prepare data validation narratives and data usability reports. -Manage and report environmental analytical data and geo-environmental data through multiple software platforms.

What You Bring

-Prior experience including internships strongly desired. -Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. -Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives. -Basic knowledge of USEPA analytical methods, including experience in operation of laboratory instrumentation and associated data systems. -Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. -0-1 years of relevant experience. -Master’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or closely related discipline. -Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Work) with advanced-level Excel. -Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, or closely related discipline. -40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120). -Experience writing analytical SOPs, QAPPs, FSPs and other quality management documents. -Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek. -Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training. -Experience with EQuISTM Professional.
