The Role

Overview

Design and deliver multidisciplinary roadway projects for state agencies and municipalities.

Tasks

-Coordinating with architects, bridge, environmental, geotechnical, survey, and traffic professionals, to complete multi-disciplinary project deliverables. -Working with Project Managers to ensure that production of specifications, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements. -Preparing detailed civil design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages. -Providing technical expertise on projects beyond final design to through construction phase services. -Assisting project managers in various aspects of roadway design, utility infrastructure design and coordination, development of construction documents, and construction support services. -Providing technical expertise on projects from the conceptual and preliminary engineering design phase to final design.

What You Bring

-Professional Engineering (PE) license, or the ability and motivation to obtain license. -Proficiency in 3D roadway models, horizontal alignments, profiles, corridors, cross sections, grading, sidewalk/curb ramps, ADA design, construction phasing, quantity takeoffs, and estimates required. -Experience with developing roadway designs in accordance with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) guidelines and standards. -Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university. -Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. -AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation - InRoads/OpenRoads, AutoTURN. -4 - 8 years of roadway project experience in the design and preparation of construction contract documents.
