Tasks

-Assist Controller in compiling information for external auditors and tax accountants as prepared -Act as informal leader of team providing assistance and direction in understanding GAAP requirements and process improvement -Generate and post month end closing entries -Assist Controller in month-end close process -Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts in a timely manner, including researching the cause of variances and unusual transactions. -Supervise sales tax and property tax audits -Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of sales and property tax returns -Research regulations and apply for tax licenses in complicated states

-Confidence to ask questions and get clarification -Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills -Excellent problem-solving, analytical, time management skills -Strong knowledge of GAAP -Experience with sales tax software; Avatax and rental software Avalara is desired -Bachelor’s degree in accounting or degree in business with equivalent accounting experience -Effective leadership skills -Jet reporting skills desired -Proficiency in technical applications including MS Office Suite -Demonstrated Conduct that is in Alignment with Our Core Values -Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting -Experience with accounting software; Microsoft Navision is desired -Team-oriented mindset -Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel Skills necessary
