Managing Technical Consultant, Geospatial Scientist

Tasks

-Author and edit geoprocessing scripts and tools with python and model-builder. -Integrate disparate data formats beyond traditional Esri geospatial formats, including KML/KMZ, CAD, LiDAR, and other sources of remotely sensed data. -Prioritize, organize, perform, and direct numerous work assignments in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment. -Serve as a technical resource in assisting others to troubleshoot and resolve problems with specialized GIS software and infrastructure. -Organize and manage project data, analysis, and mapping following company protocols and industry best practices. -Generate custom maps and analysis for numerous clients covering a variety of projects. -Publish and maintain ArcGIS web-based map services and applications. -Develop and deploy field GPS and data collection systems including Trimble GPS and Esri mobile applications. -Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure GIS and data deliverables meet or exceed our clients’ needs. -Expand GIS capabilities by exploring new technologies and software, plus ways to improve existing methods, tools, and workflows. -Plan, design, implement, and maintain large, complex, multiyear GIS projects.

What You Bring

-Experience with Python, R, Arcade, or other scripting and programming languages. -Experience building, deploying, and supporting Esri mobile applications such as Field Maps, Survey123, and Operations Dashboard. -Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and Access; and the integration of spreadsheets, relational database tables, and text files in ArcGIS. -Proven experience designing and building workflows used by a GIS team on large complex projects. -Experience performing GIS for linear energy or transportation projects utilizing a map series (data-driven pages/map series), linear referencing and route calibrations. -Experience with projects spanning large geographies across multiple coordinate system boundaries. -Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, natural sciences or comparable field. -Experience designing and developing ArcGIS Online web maps and customized web apps utilizing ArcGIS Server, and integration of Online, Mobile, and Desktop technologies. -4+ years applied professional experience using Esri’s ArcGIS 10x, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online suite of software and extensions or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -Experience in training, supporting, and managing the workloads of team members. -Project management experience, overseeing project staff, responsible for budget, deliverables, project schedules, and writing proposals. -6+ years applied professional experience using Esri’s ArcGIS 10x, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online suite of software and extensions or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -Experience leading and working effectively with others in a team environment to deliver quality projects on time and within budgets. -Advanced experience designing and conducting complex geospatial analyses utilizing Python or ModelBuilder to develop customized tools and procedures. -Advanced experience with data management including organizing and maintaining complex projects containing geospatial and tabular data, aprxs, custom tools and toolboxes, analysis output, maps, and SQL enterprise geodatabases. -This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. -Strong oral and written communication skills, keen orientation to detail, and an eye for professional presentation and aesthetics in project deliverables (maps, charts, graphs, tables, and other visualizations). -Self-motivated, quick learning, curious, resourceful, flexible individual with a common-sense approach to conducting business and workload management. -Thorough knowledge of the technical application, concepts, principles, and theories in GIS and GPS. -Experience using ArcGIS Pro in a production setting, creating Python geoprocessing tools for ArcPro, and designing queries in Arcade. -Master’s degree in GIS, GISP, or other professional certificate.
