Tasks

-Act as the technical lead for assigned projects, partnering with the project’s Lead Program Manager to drive execution. -Formula auditing and validation -Manage consultants, contractors, and administrative teams. -Review contractor plans, cost estimates, and design drawings to ensure alignment with specifications and terms. -Data analysis and reporting -Evaluate engineering design concepts, assumptions, and calculations for soundness and compliance. -AutoCAD / Civil 3D – For reviewing and interpreting engineering design drawings. -Support the SIR Director in achieving strategic and operational goals. -Leverage expertise in heavy civil construction and environmental remediation to advance project goals and ensure successful delivery. -Perform and oversee detailed reviews of cost estimate assumptions, unit rates, volumes, and supporting documentation. -Ensure financial controls are met and project documentation is audit-ready. -Ensure cost estimates are complete, mathematically accurate, and supported by valid source documentation. -Reserve change tracking

What You Bring

-7+ years in construction, financial development and assurance. -Primavera P6 or MS Project – For construction scheduling and milestone tracking. -7+ years managing complex civil/environmental construction projects, working collaboratively with Project Accounting and/or Estimating -Deep understanding of environmental remediation, cost estimation, and regulatory compliance. -Professional Engineer (P.E.) -Experience using MS Project, P6 scheduling, estimating tools -Proficiency in reviewing and validating engineering and financial assumptions -Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Management, or other related engineering disciplines). -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Microsoft Excel (Advanced) – Essential for: -Excellent communication and stakeholder management. -Project Management Professional (PMP) -GIS Software (e.g., ArcGIS) – Useful for spatial analysis of environmental data and site mapping. -12+ years in engineering design and oversight, including review of technical calculations and contractor deliverables.
