Tasks
-Assign tasks to and coordinate with other internal/external team members on complex projects. -Preparation of technical specifications for mechanical equipment, piping, and valves. -Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection. -Initiate contact with other disciplines as needed to ensure proper workflow sequence. -Understand, manage, and adhere to project budget, schedule, and quality requirements. -Performing calculations such as pipe sizing calculations, pipe thickness calculations, pump sizing calculation, control valve sizing calculations, heat exchanger sizing, atm. tank sizing etc. -Function in a responsible engineer capacity which includes: Actively seek to understand client interests and drivers through normal client contact and through interaction and communication with project leadership. Provide technical direction and guidance to others. Assign tasks to and coordinate with other internal/external team members on complex projects. Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection. Understand, manage, and adhere to project budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Initiate contact with other disciplines as needed to ensure proper workflow sequence. -Design mechanical systems supporting new nuclear power plant designs or modifications to operating nuclear power plants. -Work collaboratively with various design engineering execution teams across the US. -Provide technical direction and guidance to others. -Perform all aspects of mechanical system design engineering and analysis for assigned systems of responsibility. -Actively seek to understand client interests and drivers through normal client contact and through interaction and communication with project leadership.

What You Bring
-Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to nuclear power plants. -This position would require working in a typical office environment. The position may entail prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, and the professional would ideally be able to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday. The position may also be require physical tasks during site visits, including crouching, grasping, and standing/walking for extended periods of time. -Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable codes, standards, and regulations related to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants. -Written technical Communications.
