Tasks

-Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. -Develop engineering budget and schedule to support project management. -Offer technical guidance to Professional Engineer/EIT and CAD Designer / Drafters on project. -Oversee the preparation of comprehensive structural designs, specifications, and cost estimations for a variety of structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and other related infrastructure. -Lead and collaborate with a team to manage and execute bridge design tasks for diverse transportation projects, focusing predominantly on TxDOT projects. -Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines. -Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. -Develop design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others. -Supervise load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts and structure type analysis evaluations. -Mentor engineering team to use current engineering design software to complete designs. -Execute quality assurance checks on design calculations and drawings.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience -Knowledge of industry standard computer software such as PGSuper, WinCore, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MicroStation, spColumn, LPile, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD PRO, AASHTOWare etc. -A track record of successfully leading bridge design projects. -Texas PE license is required. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
