Manages operations, maintenance, and safety of Westshore Town Centre.

Tasks
-Monitor, maintain and service tools and equipment. -Ensure optimization of site energy management and recycling programs. Review utility consumption trends with operations staff. -Monitor, analyze, and report on various operational metrics and suggest continuous improvements to ensure all facilities and on-site equipment and systems are utilized in the most cost effective manner. -Assist the Regional Operations Management throughout the Tenant Coordination process by reviewing and providing input on all drawings & managing the Landlord work and tenant improvements from beginning to end. -Prepare annual operations and capital project budgets. -Remain current and up to date with new industry practices, legislative changes, and new technologies. -Supervise contractors for maintenance work and construction projects, ensuring building standard compliance. -Administer ongoing BOMA BEST and LEED Certification where applicable. -Establish a program of scheduled preventive maintenance. -Lead, coach, and mentor the operations staff using Top Grading. -Oversee the maintenance and housekeeping of the grounds, ensuring public and tenant safety, and perform daily site inspections. -Assist with onsite management of capital projects, execution of the capital plan, and identifying issues for current or future repairs. -Assess and provide long-term planning reports for capital expenditures. -Ensure compliance with legislation and corporate Occupational Health and Safety program with all contractors and staff. -Ensure tenant service requests are responded and addressed in a timely manner. -Write specifications and tendering documents for construction and capital projects. -Responsible for the operation and upkeep of all building systems including mechanical, electrical plumbing, structural systems, and building life safety equipment and systems. -Conduct insurance and risk management inspections, recommend remedial actions, and report findings. -Drive the emergency response training including updating the Emergency Response Procedures, support the GM with planning and executing quarterly fire drills. -Stay current on best practices in the industry pertaining to building operations, core building systems, and energy management and ensure best practices are continuously reviewed for compatibility and match with the managed portfolio of properties to achieve operational efficiencies.

What You Bring
-Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to new & existing software programs such as Angus, Dynamic, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. -Experience with building redevelopment projects is considered a strong asset -Strong working knowledge in construction, design, code, and regulations -5+ years’ experience in an enclosed shopping centre (preferred), with progressive experience in all areas of building operations, including mechanical, fire and safety, electrical, and HVAC systems -Strong organizational, planning and time management skills -Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to convey concise and complex information to technical and non-technical audiences -Ability to write specifications and contract documents -Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
