  • Review equipment vendor documents for compliance to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Serve as a Mechanical Lead or Mechanical Technical Lead on Combined Cycle Power Generation projects.
  • Provide strong leadership to drive mechanical technical design and project coordination.
  • Prepare man-hour estimates for proposals.
  • May supervise, coordinate, and review work of a small staff of engineers or technicians on assigned work.
  • Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel; both within the company and for the customer.
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Perform field walk downs to collect information required to complete work.
  • Manage Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports to communicate project status, issues, and needs.
  • Prepare and maintain resource plans.
  • As a Licensed Professional Engineer, seals and signs all documentation produced by own work. May also seal and sign work done by engineers under direct supervision.
  • Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Develop job notes and technical scopes of work.
  • Attend Client, Vendor, and Internal Team meetings.
  • Perform equipment technical bid evaluations and prepare recommendations.
  • Prepare equipment inquiry/RFQ packages.

  • Full and ongoing compliance with and adherence to all vaccination requirements, as may be established by the company from time to time or by or for a particular job site.
  • Must maintain active status in a drug and/or alcohol testing consortium
  • Experience in the specification of fixed and rotating equipment
  • Strong background in heat exchangers, pumps, ASME pressure vessels, and ASME piping code
  • Knowledge and familiarity with API Standards and Recommended Practices applicable to the specification of refinery fixed and rotating equipment
  • 7 minimum years of experience in the Power Generation Industry with familiarity of all associated systems of a combined cycle power plant
  • Knowledge of the ASME Codes for pressure vessels and piping systems
  • Mechanical Engineering experience in the Industrial Construction, Diversified, Food & Beverage, Fermentation or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical, or related engineering discipline
