Tasks

Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records and databases related to shipments and freight performance. Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners regarding sea freight activities. Collaborate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of problems. Organize and coordinate shipment, including route planning and scheduling. Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize budget management. Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and import/export paperwork. Provide regular updates on shipment status, potential delays, and resolution of any issues. Generate reports on key metrics, such as transit times, costs, and service levels. Address and resolve logistical issues, including delays, damages, and customs challenges.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will manage the planning, execution, and oversight of maritime shipping operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Experience with international shipping and trade compliance. Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, with a focus on sea freight. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Strong understanding of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements. Familiarity with ocean freight booking systems and tolls Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
