Night-shift laborer handling door stacking, inspection, repair, and equipment operation.

Tasks
-Performs visual quality check of entire stack as they come down the conveyor -Help create/implement poke yokes for quality issues -Assemble product as per instructions with a focus on quality and safety. -Communicate efficiently with other employees and the leadership team in order to ensure quality product is made timely -Assist Management, Maintenance and Quality personnel when troubleshooting equipment, process or material issues -Perform housekeeping duties -Read and interpret list counts and complete all departmental paperwork correctly and timely -Identify defects -Communicate with upstream and downstream departments - expectation to immediately communicate internal process oriented defects for quick recovery/repair. -Carry out measurements and weight checks -Operate motorized equipment (ie forklift, KVAL lifts, etc) as needed -Operate jump tracks -Manually lift/slide/flip materials or doors up to 100 lbs with assistance. (bending, stooping, twisting, - dexterity. Standing for long continuous hours. -Place unrepairable doors in cull door stack -Operate machinery required for particular position in a safe and efficient manner, to include training of new and existing operators in the carrying out of their duties. -Maintain downtime records and production information as appropriate -Work safely and follow safety rules and procedures -Perform weekly EHS audits -Push pallets on conveyor -Communicate effectively for flow of product through the plant -Complete reject sheets appropriately for tickets to be remade -Push door stacks onto infeed tracks of paint booth -Gather materials as needed -Participate in Safety Kaizens and Masonite Plant Kaizens -De-stacking and stacking doors to remove cardboard from the middle. -Wear appropriate personal protective equipment -Set up and adjust equipment -Inspect product for defects and take appropriate action as per work instructions, monitor Quality Technician for consistency -Use push carts -Repair newly and previously identified doors with quality defects -Straighten doors -Use tools such as glue gun, palm sander, sanding block, chisel, putty knives, clamps, and application of bondo, hot melt glue, touch up paint, and putty -Perform minor preventative maintenance and operator care as required

-Use a Tape Measure, Caliper -Practice Masonite Lean Manufacturing Techniques including 5S+1 -Ability to use wood craftsmanship tools to repair doors. High quality standard required and some creativity required. -Read, understand and follow production schedules -Mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. High dust and noisy environment. -Knowledge of hand tools such as sanders, planers, hand tools putty knife, sanding block wood chisel -Basic reading and writing skills -Read interpret ticket -Ability to add and subtract fractions and whole numbers, convert fractions to decimalsRead interpret ticket such as door/customer quality specs -Fast paced job with continuous focus on finding defects. Constant focus on visual quality inspection of doors. -High attention to detail for defects
