Tasks
-Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop comprehensive cost estimates. -Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions for cost and schedule optimization. -Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and contract negotiations. -Formulates and leads project estimates/proposals to ensure quality, accurate, and timely submission. -Ensure estimates align with current market conditions, labor rates, and material costs. -Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to identify cost components and risk factors. -Solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors to prepare the most accurate, economical, and realistic project cost estimates. -Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and scope clarifications. -Manage the estimating database, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all project bids. -Assist in the development of project proposals and presentations for prospective clients. -Fully manages project estimates from initial “go” determination to contract execution. -Develop project schedules, resource schedules, cost breakdowns, and value engineering recommendations. -Review bid documents and prepare all proposal items required for bid submission including quantity takeoffs and market research.

-Strong leadership abilities with a proactive and adaptable approach to work. -Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid and other relevant estimating software. -Positive attitude and team building skills to promote company objectives. -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. -CSG/SJ Hamill does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.
