Tasks

-Assist Site Manager in scheduling construction activities, such as monitoring material deliveries and subcontractor performance. Consolidate their activities on reports as requested by the Site Manager. -Assist in performing the project’s daily report and monthly man hour’s report. -Know and enforce the safety program. Serve as on-site safety when one is not specifically assigned to the project. -Conduct investigations into any and all safety incidents. You will be required to produce accurate reports to present to the Site Manager and Project Management staff when appropriate. -Review, understand, assimilate and log shop drawings and submittals. -Assist the Site Manager in establishing and maintaining high safety and QA/QC standards. Work with Site Manager in establishing safety meeting agenda. -Perform and record Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) audits throughout the jobsite on all divisions of work and following through with the recorded audit to ensure the work is satisfactory. -Conduct safety meetings as directed by the Site Manager. -Bring any and all customer requested changes to the attention of the SM and PM for appropriate contract action. -Assist Site Manager in layout of building items, primarily structural, civil, process, and architectural items. -Generate meeting agendas/minutes from various site meetings for review of SM and ensures timely and accurate distribution. -Assist site and project team in execution of purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and execute receiving reports. -After two to six months, develop bid lists, issue documents for procurement purposes, review bids, and evaluate proposals as directed by the Site Manager, and through consultation with the Project Manager. -Help maintain a current set of red line as-built drawings as directed by the Site Manager. Correlate and update construction documents as they are reviewed. -Assumes ownership of scopes of work and management of subcontractors as assigned by SM -Performs on-site material placed surveys as required. Ensure quantities in place are accurate and reported weekly or as directed by the Site Manager. -May assist with general labor and clean up occasionally. -Will work with city officials, OSHA, and inspectors throughout the duration of the project. Works with SM to ensure all inspections are scheduled and conducted per project specifications and properly documented. -Assist Site Manager in procurement of construction materials. -Will be required to manage the jobsite, in the absence of the Site Manager, on a regular basis. -Keeps up to date progress drawings of work put in place daily by utilizing bluebeam, excel, or assemble. -Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.

What You Bring

-Associates degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school AND a minimum of 2 years of related construction experience OR 4+ years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree. -Able to make decisions regarding safety and quality on the spot to make improvements, without further approval. Bring all out of spec issues to the attention of the ASM and SM to receive counsel on the path forward. -Able to receive verbal or written direction along with constructive criticism from SM, and willing to provide such as needed/directed. -Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones. -Must possess a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.
