Overview
Monitor and coordinate subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical work.

Tasks
-Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff within the area of responsibility. -Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals. -Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements. -Role supports on mid-size projects of medium to high complexity with multiple stakeholders’ involvement. -Monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements. -Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules. -Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management. -Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements -Coordinates with Design on constructability issues. -Supports Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents

What You Bring
-Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies. -Knowledge is normally acquired through: A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or Specialized courses in construction technology and management, and/or Prior practical work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above. -Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment. -Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes. -Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents. -Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities. Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs). -Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards. -Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce. -Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation. Knowledge of Bechtel’s Zero Accident Philosophy.
