The Role

Overview

Lead pre‑construction and construction for $500M+ advanced‑technology facilities

Tasks

-Analyze drawings and specifications to evaluate risks and opportunities. -Support the selection of key subcontractors and trade partners. Lead and guide Construction efforts through responsible Superintendents, Field Engineers and Project Engineers. -Communicate and present detail to executive management, permitting agencies, stakeholders, owners, etc. -Participate in task force meetings with the designer and bring constructability to the project solution. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Provide oversight and direction to estimators and engineers in the development phase of a collaborative contract model. -Developing the logic behind the project schedule (sequencing works) -Reviewing and assisting with proposals and working with the estimating team for various components of the work to evaluate the best value for money/options. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

What You Bring

-Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint) -Demonstrate excellent collaborative behaviors in a multi-stakeholder environment and foster a culture of innovation. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, or other engineering disciplines. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or construction-related technology and 10 plus years of construction management experience or at least 15 years of construction management experience if no degree, with the ability and experience developing and leading estimates and construction teams in self-performed construction. -Regular, reliable attendance -Strong attention to detail; strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills. Broad knowledge of construction of all disciplines. -Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time, with a strong safety and quality focus and record on past jobs. -Ability to generate conceptual estimates for the Advance Technology Facilities market. Experience with Pre-Construction/Construction Management activities in the Advanced Technology market for large scale facilities (ideally $500M and above), (Data centers, hyperscale facilities, AI facilities, Semi-conductor facilities for example) is preferred -Ability to lead estimates and multiple teams. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Demonstrated leadership experience on complex construction projects.
