Construction Cost Engineer

Tasks

-Produce cost reporting (internal and external) for all PCOs. -Manage subcontractor payments and required documentation. -Review owner notices, document and assess impacts, and present findings to the project team. -Prepare monthly Claims Cost Reports. -Collaborate with the Project Manager and team to input, monitor, and manage the JDE Quantity Book. -Administer owner change directive processes, including cost/quantity evaluations and negotiations. -Draft and review project correspondence, letters, and notices in coordination with day-to-day operations. -Oversee subcontractor Change Order Request (COR) processes, including evaluations, estimating, negotiations, and preparation for review. -Develop and manage subcontractor contract provisions, terms, and conditions. -Maintain Potential Change Order (PCO) tracking and manage the full lifecycle of project change requests.

What You Bring

-10+ years of experience in cost engineering, cost analysis, or financial management on infrastructure or large-scale building projects. -Proficiency in cost management software (Procore) and estimating tools such as HCSS, Excel, Primavera P6, or similar platforms. -Experience in heavy civil construction projects. -Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution. -Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future*** -Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. -NO STAFFING AGENCY CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION*** -Required: High School Diploma or GED. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
