Tasks

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day safety operations across Harper Brothers Construction worksites. This role includes monitoring safety activities, conducting safety orientations, and supporting safety audits. The Safety Coordinator will work under the direction of the Safety Manager to help ensure a safe, compliant, and accident-free environment on all active construction projects. -Support the Safety Manager with the implementation of safety policies and procedures to ensure effective risk management on job sites. -Help prepare safety reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. -Conduct safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors, ensuring all workers are familiar with the company's safety practices and policies. -Maintain safety equipment and supplies, ensuring all PPE and safety tools are available and in good condition on construction sites. -Assist with implementing corrective actions following safety incidents and monitoring the effectiveness of these measures. -Assist with safety inspections and audits on construction sites to ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations. -Assist with safety training programs, including maintaining training records and ensuring that workers are up to date on required certifications. -Track and report safety incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring thorough, accurate documentation. To include case management, accompanying employees to follow ups and consistent communication with leadership. -Provide ongoing safety support and guidance to workers, including answering safety-related questions and addressing concerns.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general construction safety standards. -Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities. -Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with workers and managers on safety matters. -Associate’s degree or relevant certifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field (preferred). -1-3 years of experience in safety coordination or a related role, ideally in the construction industry.
