The Role

Overview

Manage technical coordination of vertical transportation package on construction project

Tasks

-Inspect the work of sub-contractors for technical compliance and quality of work. -Ensure high quality and accurate reports are submitted to the project leadership team as required; -Ensure appropriate knowledge of contractual obligations of both the head contract and sub contract with specific and details knowledge of the package under their management; -Drive the package programme ensuring appreciation of the wider project programme, strategy and budget and liaising any affected parties as necessary; -Ensure quality assurance processes and standards for a construction project are adhered to. -Be aware and become proficient of the requirements of the project and ensure the project is working to the directives of P.A.M; -Be part of the wider VT team with a dotted reporting line into The Head of Vertical Transportation. -Assist project leadership team throughout the value management process to maximise the financial benefit of the design; -Assist with the integration of services and design co-ordination during project planning. -Act as a conduit of communicating relevant information as appropriate to consultants, authorities, site supervisors, construction workers and sub-contractors. -Support the Project Director with the relationships between client, external consultants, subcontractors and project team ensuring frequent and effective communications take place for successful project delivery; -Manage changes to engineering design and coordinate between related parties including the commercial teams; -Monitor progress, identify and report on issues that may affect the program.

What You Bring

-Personal leadership, integrity and creativity on technical cutting edge projects -Mechanical, electrical or construction related qualifications to degree level or equivalent are desirable, but not essential -Strong background and experience in dealing with Vertical Transportation packages -Experience of delivering within logistically challenging (ie: city) environments -Proven ability to create strong relationships within the industry incl. clients, sub-contractors, designers and third parties -Experience within the Vertical Transportation/construction industry with a strong and proven track record
