The Role

Overview

Oversee fire sprinkler installation projects, manage team, ensure safety and compliance.

Tasks

-Work in conjunction with the Operations team. -Provide accurate project status updates during meetings. -Maintain schedule of installers and track hours assigned to projects. -Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. -Attend construction meetings and interface with end-users, architects, and general contractors. -Set goals and objectives for subordinates, communicate expectations to employees and periodically review subordinate's performance. -Ensure safety and industry training is current and documented for all technicians and that they have all the appropriate information and material prior to arrival at the job site. -Maintain loading schedules and labor forecasting. -Maintain and enhance a positive work environment utilizing management best practices. -Responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction to the Fire Sprinkler Installation Department. -Build rapport and trust with customers. -Daily operations of construction installation projects to be managed and monitored. -While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects -Meet with building engineers, property management, and/or site contacts upon arrival and departure to communicate work status. -Conduct regular job site safety walkthroughs and evaluations as well as accident investigations. -Order materials and equipment for projects and monitor financials for each project.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of P&L is a plus. -Ability to walk and maneuver self around construction job sites and climb ladders. -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -High school diploma or GED. -Proficient in the use of Windows operating system. -10+ years of experience working with fire sprinkler systems. -Bending and squatting frequently and for long periods of time. -Ability to withstand occasional exposure to hot, cold, and/or inclement weather on job sites. -Ability to wear PPE such as steel toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glass, safety harnesses, and hard hats occasionally on job sites. -NICET certification is a plus. -Project Management/Construction Management experience. -Preferred Certification: RME -Reaching and performing work above shoulder level frequently and for long periods of time. -Proficient in developing business strategies, implementing action plans to meet and/or exceed department goals and objectives. -The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity. -Experience or knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products. -Ability to work at excessive heights. -Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy pipe daily (10-40 lbs frequently and 50-75 lbs occasionally). -10+ years of supervision/management experience dealing with Fire Sprinkler Installation in the commercial industry. -Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
