Tasks

-To liaise with manufacturing and service engineering to actively integrate the experience and knowledge from these areas. -To produce robust design solutions which are insensitive to variation to address specified requirements. -To search for, capture, store, and re-use knowledge relating to design activity. -To check own and others design a solutions and technical for completeness and correctness. -To understand and apply the commodity standards and to create new standards where none exist. -To collaborate and communicate design solution information with task stakeholders.

What You Bring

-Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and justification. -Technical experience relevant to the engineering discipline. -Membership of a relevant professional body or working towards. -To understand Product system / sub-system requirements and derive Component requirements at task level. -An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems. -Experience as design engineer operating across the product life cycle, undertaking design safety justification activites supporting manufacturing, integration, maintenance /refit activities and dealing with operational issues. -Experience of Research and development, analytical and test verification activities. -Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD in Engineering or regional equivalent qualification or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience. -Experience in the development of methods, standards and processes.
